From Pain to Purpose: Stephanie Berman Shares Her Journey on SYNC Your Life Podcast
In a recent interview on the SYNC Your Life podcast (episode #288), Stephanie shared her personal journey through chronic pain, the frustration of medical gaslighting, and her mission to ensure other women don’t have to endure the same prolonged suffering.
After battling complex gynecologic pain for over 13 years and consulting with eleven different medical practitioners without answers, Stephanie Berman finally found hope through Dr. Corey Babb at the Haven Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This transformative experience led her to found The Aziza Project, a nonprofit dedicated to connecting women suffering from complex gynecologic pain with specialists who can properly diagnose and treat their conditions.
“Too many women are living with their check engine lights flashing,” notes podcast host Jenny Swisher. “They know they feel ‘off’ but no matter what they do, they can’t seem to have the energy, lose the weight, or feel their best.”
It’s a sentiment that resonates deeply with Stephanie and the estimated 32% of women who experience gynecologic pain. Through The Aziza Project, Stephanie is working to fund travel and procedure expenses for women seeking specialized care for vulvovaginal pain, pelvic floor dysfunction, and hormonal issues causing pain.
The Aziza Project operates on a simple but powerful premise: connecting women with the right medical professionals can fundamentally change their lives. When conventional healthcare fails to provide answers, specialized care can offer not just treatment, but restoration of hope.
