Forty percent of women will have a major gynecologic concern of some kind in their lifetime: spasmed pelvic floor muscles, pinched pelvic nerves, dermatologic issues, painful intercourse, etc. However, American health insurance companies pay more for four 15 minute patient appointments than they do for 1 one hour visit. But it takes longer than 15 minutes to get to the root of a complex gynecologic issue, which means women aren't getting the help they need, and doctors aren't able to keep their doors open to provide that help. The Aziza Project will benefit both patients and doctors, by providing funding for patients, and supporting doctors who want to help them. Future plans for The Aziza Project include funding for training doctors & medical students in complex gynecologic treatment.
