Jennifer’s Journey Continues

Earlier this year, we were able to help Jennifer, a 30-something woman from the US North East travel to Tulsa for her first appointment with Dr. Corey Babb. Today, Jennifer’s journey continues.

It’s been a few months since her appointment, and a lot of life has happened for her. In the midst of it all, she’s been working through the list of things that Dr. Babb gave her to try to help with her hormone issues & hypertonic pelvic floor dysfunction, but she’s running into roadblocks that are outside of her control.

She found a doctor who accepts her insurance, but he wants to rule out another condition first, so she had to get an MRI, and is now waiting for the results. She also found a pelvic floor physical therapist that accepts her insurance, started seeing them, but finding time for physical therapy can be really hard when she’s working four jobs, up to six days a week, and her physical therapist is 45 minutes away.

One thing we at The Aziza Project appreciate about Jennifer, is her ability to recognize that this is a journey, and that it’s important to figure out how to move forward with your treatment in a sustainable, healthy way, without burning the candle at both ends. As life settles down for Jennifer again, we’re hoping with her, that she’ll be able to continue her PT exercises, and that her MRI results will come in soon, so that she can hopefully get started on that medication that Dr. Babb suggested to her earlier this year.
