December 2024 Newsletter

Dear Friends and Supporters,

🎄 As December brings its crisp air and festive lights, we at The Aziza Project reflect on a year filled with hope and progress. With the comforting aroma of holiday spices wafting from kitchens preparing for family gatherings, we are reminded of the warmth and resilience of our community. Inside, you’ll find updates on our impact, collaborations, and ways you can make a difference as we close out 2024 with gratitude and determination. ⛄️

Here are our updates:

1) Our Impact in 2024
This year, we spent $2,068.13 on client medical transportation and care costs, directly supporting women in need:

  • $893.13 on Travel Expenses
  • $500 on In-Person Appointments
  • $150 on Blood Work
  • $300 on Follow-up Appointments
  • $225 on Virtual Consultations

Your contributions made these vital services possible. Thank you for helping us provide hope and healing. 💖

2) Can You Help Us Reach Our Goal?
We set a bold goal for 2024: to have 250 “Hope Helpers” giving $5/month to support women suffering from complex gynecologic pain. Thanks to your generosity, 19 people have already joined us as monthly donors.

Here’s the challenge: we need just 6 more people to sign up for $5/month gifts to reach 10% of our 2024 goal. That’s only $60 a year to help provide funding for women to access compassionate and knowledgeable care. Can you help us get there?

Why $5 Matters:

  • It’s the cost of a coffee but offers hope to someone navigating debilitating pain.
  • Small contributions add up to create life-changing impact.

Every dollar makes a difference. Thank you for being part of this journey with us. 💙

3) Do You Know a Podcaster
In January, we set a goal of appearing on 24 podcasts in 2024. So far, Stephanie has done about 10 podcast interviews. Some have already aired, others have not. If you know of a podcaster in the women’s health, social activism, or women’s leadership spaces, please let us know. More podcast interviews means more connections, more connections means we can offer hope to more clients!

4) A Conversation with Tight Lipped
Stephanie recently connected with the Los Angeles chapter lead of Tight Lipped, an organization dedicated to ending the stigma surrounding vulvovaginal pain and advocating for systemic changes in healthcare. This conversation highlighted shared goals and the importance of collaboration in transforming care for women with complex gynecologic conditions. Together, we can amplify our voices and make a greater impact.

5) Stephanie’s Story Continues
In October, we shared Stephanie’s fourth trip to Tulsa with you. At Stephanie’s post-procedure appointment, Dr. Babb remarked that since we now know we’re dealing with a skin issue, it would be a good idea for Stephanie to find a doctor closer to home who can monitor her progress. Continue reading on our website.

6) Spread the Word!
Help us broaden our impact by sharing this newsletter with three people in your network. With your help, we can extend our reach and support more individuals in need. 🌐📣

We’re so grateful for your continued support. Together, we can offer hope to women who are suffering from complex gynecologic pain.

Know you are mighty,
Stephanie Berman
