Stephanie’s Story Continues

In October, we shared Stephanie’s fourth trip to Tulsa with you, but we never shared the results of the second biopsy. As it turns out, it was “just” atopic dermatitis. At Stephanie’s post-procedure appointment, Dr. Babb remarked that since we now know we’re dealing with a skin issue, it would be a good idea for Stephanie to find a doctor closer to home who can monitor her progress toward healing. Stephanie was hesitant about this idea, until Dr. Babb offered to check a provider database that Stephanie didn’t have access to, to see if there might be someone in there close to hear that she could work with.

Within minutes, Dr. Babb had found a provider who he knows, whose new office is only 3 hours from Stephanie! Yesterday, Stephanie and her husband Daniel traveled to meet with this provider. It was a great first appointment, and they left with some new medications and over-the-counter things to try.

While Stephanie isn’t using Aziza Project funds for her own travel and care, you can make a donation here to fund travel and care for people suffering from complex gynecologic pain.
